About

CA employment law is complex and constantly changing. Central Coast small businesses need expert HR guidance—but not the cost of a full-time hire.

HR Consulting Need help navigating CA employment law, updating your handbook, administering a leave of absence, or solving a complex employee issue? I provide practical, compliant HR expertise tailored to your businesses.

Outsourced Support (Fractional HR) For businesses that need consistent HR support but don’t require an internal HR practitioner, I serve as your trusted HR partner. I provide support with recruitment, payroll, benefits administration, and more.

Services

  • Targeted HR support for a clearly defined need. Ideal when you need expert guidance on a specific issue—such as a compliance audit, employee handbook update, or policy rollout—without an ongoing commitment.

  • Hands-on HR partnership over a defined period of time. Designed for organizations navigating transitions, growth, or special initiatives that require focused support for several weeks or months.

  • Interim HR coverage when you need immediate help. This option provides experienced HR support during staff leaves, vacancies, or unexpected capacity gaps—keeping your people operations moving without disruption.

  • Fractional HR support that grows with your organization. Ongoing partnership to handle day-to-day HR needs, compliance oversight, employee relations, and strategic people initiatives—without the cost of a full-time hire.

Pricing

HR challenges aren’t one-size-fits-all — and pricing shouldn’t be either. Fees are based on the scope, timeline, and level of expertise required for your specific project.

My base fee is $107 per hour, and I also offer flat-fee projects and monthly fractional HR plans for ongoing support.

  • I primarily work with small businesses and growing organizations that don’t have an in-house HR team or who need extra support in certain areas. From startups to family-run companies to nonprofits, I tailor solutions to fit your size and goals.

  • I offer support in HR compliance, hiring and onboarding, employee relations, and learning & development. My services are flexible and “à la carte,” so you can choose what you need most. Whether it’s one project, ongoing support, or help during a busy season.

  • Even with as few as five employees, there are compliance requirements and best practices that protect your business and set you up for healthy growth.

  • Good HR prevents costly mistakes such as compliance fines, high turnover, or bad hires. I simplify processes so you can spend less time worrying about paperwork and more time focusing on your business and your customers.

  • Both. Some clients hire me for specific projects such as creating an employee handbook or running a hiring process. Others bring me on for ongoing HR support without the cost of a full-time hire.

  • Fractional HR means having experienced HR support—without the cost of a full-time hire. Instead of employing an in-house HR pracitioner, you get access to an expert on a part-time, project, or as-needed basis.
